Identification of NC Blade Type


CNC blades usually have a series of letters and numbers as the model of CNC blades. For professional personnel, it is very simple to understand the meaning of these letters and numbers, but for many businesses, these letters are recognized, the meaning of letters is completely unknown. (1) The first letter generally denotes the shape of NC blades. Commonly used are H, O, P, S, T, C, D and E, which are hexagonal, octagonal, pentagonal, square, 80-degree diamond, 55-degree diamond and 75-degree diamond.


(2) The second letter clearly indicates the angle of the blade's rear angle. The commonly used letters are A, B, C, D, E, F, G and O. A means the angle of the blade's rear angle is 3 degrees, B is 5 degrees, C is 7 degrees, D is 15 degrees, E is 20 degrees, F is 25 degrees, G is 30 degrees, N is 0 degrees, P is 11 degrees, and O means the other angle of the blade's rear angle.

Generally, it is expressed by two letters, most of which are alloys, P for steel, M for stainless steel, K for gray cast iron or ductile iron, N for aluminium/scrap iron, S for heat-resistant alloy or titanium alloy, H for high hardness material, etc.
